I love this time of year. I prefer the cooler temperatures over the hot summer. The Christmas lights shining and the buzz at the local malls bring a smile to my face. Today I was walking to the bank when I passed Bob Hope?s house. His family still lives there I have been told. On the corner of their lot is a very large nativity set that is very classy looking. It?s yet another reminder of why I love this season so much. This time of the year always remind me about what is most important.
Erica and I visited Michigan last week to celebrate Christmas early with my family. There was snow all over the place. I know we live in Southern California now, but I want snow for the Christmas season. We will also visit Erica?s family in the near future. We hear there?s lots of snow up there as well.
We celebrated my birthday this weekend. My birthday was yesterday the 15th. The day before (Sunday) Erica took me to Disneyland for my first time to celebrate. I loved Disneyland, it was so much fun! It?s funny I always get introspective on my birthday. I think over my life and evaluate everything that has happened up until now and then I think of the future and wonder what it will look like a couple years from now. Many of you know that I am a very motivated and determined guy that goes after the things I am passionate about. In the past I spent more time thinking of the things I have not yet done, but this year was different. This year I didn?t think and evaluate as much as I typically do. I just enjoyed myself. I have had a good run so far. I have travelled the world, gotten educated, gotten married, written a book, and made some excellent relationships. I am blessed.
Here in Southern California the whole world is abuzz in holiday cheer. Even Jay Leno was out this weekend in his car just driving around for the fun of it I guess. Just remember the important things this holiday! Erica and I hope that your Christmas Season is very rewarding, relaxing, and full of fond memories.
